Registration and Login

2FA

NO. If you use a VPN with 2FA, you will not be able to login to the website.

Register

The account should be registered almost immediately. A verification email will be sent to the registered email address to complete the registration.

Login

Check to see if you are using a VPN, if you are please disable it and try logging in again. if the issue persists contact us at [email protected] to allow us to assist you in retrieving your account details.

You can reset your password under the settings -> Security section. 

                               

Account

My Account (general questions)

They are located on the top right of your screen at any page under “Create Listing” or “Create Request”. 

Simply click on the your profile icon on the top right and below the icon and select “Dashboard”.

Messages

They are located on the top right of your screen at any page with the Letter and Bell icon. Any new email or notification will be highlighted in red with the number of unread emails or notifications.

In the job listing of the seller, there is a “Contact” button in the middle of the page. Clicking this redirects you immediately into a private chat with the seller.

Email notifications

On the top right-hand corner of any page where your account name is located, access Profile -> Settings. In the middle of the Settings page select “Email Notifications”.

Favourite Listings

On the top right-hand corner of any page where your account name is located, access “My Favourite”s.

Payment settings

On the top right-hand corner of any page where your account name is located, access Profile -> Settings. In the middle of the Settings page select “Payments”. Enter your associated Bank or Payment Gateway information. 

You can view all your transactions under Profile -> Payment on the top right-hand corner of any page where your account name is located. 

 You may register multiple accounts with the same payment mode.

No, you may only register one of each payment mode type per user account. 

Transaction history

You can directly access this through “My Account” or “Sales”. 

Becoming a seller

All accounts are created as buyer as the default role. To become a seller, navigate to “settings” click on the last tab labelled as “Seller account” and click on the registration link

To get verified as a seller, submit any one of the identification materials required on the seller registration page

Search Listings, Requests, Users

On the top left-hand corner next to the AstraEx logo, there is a search bar where you can type in any keyword that you may like. It will search through advertisements, requests, and users.

Categories

You can send a request to [email protected] to request for a completely new category. 

Listings

Sign in or create an account: If you already have an account on AstraEx, sign in using your credentials. If not, you’ll need to create a new account, which usually involves providing your email address, setting a password, and completing any necessary verification steps.

Access the posting section: Once you’re logged in, navigate to the AstraEx homepage or dashboard. Look for the “Create Listing” button; it’s typically located at the top left corner of the site. Click on it to proceed.

Provide listing details: You’ll be directed to a form where you can input the details of your listing. Be sure to include relevant information such as the title, description, category (e.g., electronics, clothing, services), price (if applicable), and any other essential details that potential buyers may need to know.

Upload images (if applicable): Listings with images tend to attract more attention. If your listing is for a product or service that can benefit from visual representation, you can upload images directly from your device to complement your listing’s description.

Set listing preferences (optional): Depending on the platform’s features, you may have additional options to enhance your listnig, such as selecting listing duration, promoting your listing to a broader audience, or choosing specific targeting options.

Review and submit: Double-check all the information you provided to ensure accuracy and clarity. Once you are satisfied, click the “Submit” or “Create Listing” button to publish your listing on AstraEx.

Manage your listing : After posting your listing , you can manage it from your account dashboard. You may have options to edit, renew, or delete the listing as needed.

Remember, each platform may have slight variations in its posting process, so if you encounter any difficulties or uncertainties, refer to the FAQ or customer support for guidance.

The custom price option and adding shipping for fixed-price sales provide sellers with flexibility and customization in pricing and shipping options. Here’s a breakdown of how they work:

Creating a Listing

  1. Sign in or create an account – provide your email address, setting a password, and completing any necessary verification steps
  1. Ensure that your bank account details are filled in. This is located under “Settings”. Within settings select “Payments”
  1. Access the posting section – Look for the “Create Listing” button; located at the top right corner of the site
  1. Provide listing details – include relevant information such as the title, description, category (e.g., electronics, clothing, services), price (if applicable). 
  1. Upload images (if applicable) 
  1. Review and submit – Once satisfied, click the “Submit” or “Post Listing” button to publish your listing on AstraEx.

 Features available include buyer information, social plugs, media and pictures, additional specific costs for packaging etc.

Within the listing posting there are additional options you can indicate (to include some images), if there are features that you require that are not present, do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] and we will try to assist.

Images

The maximum size is 10MB for both cover images and other images.

Orders 

Under “Dashboard” and under “Sales” and “Purchases”. You can view all the order types that are currently present for your account. 

 Yes, you can.

This can only be done prior to confirmation of order. 

Custom price and fixed price

The custom price option is useful for sellers who offer products or services with a floating market price, where the price may vary based on market conditions or other factors. Instead of providing a fixed price on the website, sellers can use the custom price option to list their product or service without a specific price tag. Interested buyers can then contact the seller directly to inquire about the current price, with or without shipping costs, depending on their location and preferences. This allows sellers to negotiate prices based on individual circumstances and enables buyers to have more personalized purchasing experiences.

For fixed-price sales, where the price remains constant regardless of market conditions, sellers can still offer shipping options to buyers. The “custom extra pricing” available on the order page allows sellers to specify shipping costs for different locations or shipping methods. This way, buyers can see the total price, including shipping, before making their purchase decision.

Featured Listings

  1. If you decide to promote your listing – first select your icon and enter through “Dashboard”
  1. On your chosen listing, click the “Feature” button  
  1. Choose from the available advertising options – you can decide to feature your listing at different levels (Homepage, Category or Subcategory) for the prices stated.

Requests

 A request is a prospective buyer that needs to purchase a service/goods on the platform.

The request will last indefinitely except when the request is manually deleted or “Close request once an offer has been accepted” has been selected. 

Requests

  1. Sign in or create an account – provide your email address, setting a password, and completing any necessary verification steps
  1. (Optional) Ensure that your bank account details are filled in. This is located under “Account settings” and “Payment”
  1. Locate the “Create Request” icon on the top right hand corner of the page
  1. Indicate your request in the entries in the “Create Request” 

 Your posted requests should be immediately visible. If you cannot see it, try refreshing your page. If this is a recurring issue, contact support at [email protected].

Responding to a request

If you have not set up a verified account with a payment mode, you will not be able to send an offer as it cannot be verified that you can fulfill the request and a means to be paid.

  1. First select on the top right hand corner “Request” to see the list of categories, select any of the categories.
  1. Within the specific category – select further information on price range, dates, tags, further description of product to fulfill.
  1. Select the specific request and post offer by clicking “Contact” 

The posting should be immediately available and if you are unable to see it. Either, the offer was not completed and you have to resubmit the offer. If you believe there is an issue, please report any bugs to [email protected].

Custom offers

Access the Message Function: Log in to your account on the platform or website where you interact with potential buyers. Navigate to the messaging or communication section, which is usually where you can exchange messages with other users.

Initiate a Conversation: If you haven’t already been in communication with the buyer, start a new conversation by selecting the user’s name or profile and clicking on the “Message” or “Send Message” button.

Send the Custom Quote: Within the messaging interface, look for the “Send Custom Quote” or “Offer Custom Price” option. Click on it to proceed.

Provide the Custom Offer Details: A form or dialog box will likely appear, allowing you to enter the specific details of the custom offer. This could include the product or service description, any additional features or modifications, and, most importantly, the custom price you are offering to the buyer. If applicable, you can also specify shipping costs or any other relevant terms and conditions.

Review and Send: Double-check all the information you provided to ensure accuracy and clarity. Once you are satisfied with the custom offer, click the “Send” or “Submit” button to deliver the offer to the buyer.

Buyer Accepts the Custom Quote: When the buyer receives your custom offer, they will have the option to review it and decide whether to accept or decline. If the buyer accepts the custom quote, they will likely be directed to the checkout page to complete the purchase.

Finalize the Transaction: After the buyer accepts the custom offer and proceeds to the checkout page, they will follow the standard checkout process to complete the transaction, which may involve selecting payment and shipping options.

Keep in mind that the specific steps and terminology may vary depending on the platform or website you are using. If you have any questions or encounter any difficulties while sending a custom offer, refer to the platform’s help center or contact their customer support for assistance.

Shipping

The website’s pricing and shipping policy state that all prices listed are on an FOB (Free on Board) basis and exclude shipping costs. FOB refers to the point at which the seller is responsible for the goods until they are loaded onto the transportation vessel. The buyer is responsible for the shipping costs from that point onward. By excluding shipping costs from the listed prices, sellers can provide more accurate and region-specific shipping costs based on the buyer’s location and shipping preferences.

Transactions

An “Accept Offer” will be visible to you by the counterparty, alternatively in the private messages you can “Send Offer” located on the top right-hand corner of the chat box

Time Limit

You must accept or cancel the order otherwise the order will automatically be cancelled, and the buyer will be refunded.

When you’ve left 10 or more proposed orders left unanswered. 

The buyer can try as many times as they want to attempt payment again for the pending payment

Yes, it is necessary in order to pass the funds to the Seller. A clearing period of 14 days will be made to accommodate the longest types of processing (i.e., Bank Transfer).

A period of 60 days. This is to account for any unforeseen circumstances in delays in delivery and cargo that is significant in volume/size.

The same transaction can only be cancelled five times. 

Fees and Charges

At AstraEx, we value the growth and success of our sellers. Therefore, we have designed our transaction charges to be fair and transparent. When a successful transaction occurs through your digital shopfront, a nominal fee is applied. This fee is a small percentage of the total transaction amount, allowing you to maximize your earnings while benefiting from our platform’s extensive reach.

A flat percentage fee of 7% for a limited promotion period.

As a buyer on AstraEx, you get to explore a diverse range of products and services from our reputable sellers. Rest assured, there are no additional charges for you to browse through the listings or make purchases. The price you see on the product or service is the final price you pay, making your shopping experience seamless and straightforward.

At AstraEx, we believe in fostering a thriving marketplace where both sellers and buyers can engage in transactions with confidence, knowing that our charges are competitive and well-structured.

A flat processing fee of USD 2.50 for a limited promotion period.

Withdrawing Money 

Bank transfer/TT can be done where the user has to bear the transaction cost else you can use the Payment gateways such as Paypal and others available on the website.

  1. Go to your icon on the top right and select “Settings”.
  1. Within “Settings” go to “Payments” and enter your bank information or Payment gateway information.
  1. Go to your icon on the top right and select “Payments”.
  1. Select the “Withdrawals” and withdraw the sum required. You will receive an email confirmation of the withdrawal.

USD 10 is the minimum.

Depending on the mode of withdrawal, bank transfer/TT takes up to 7 working days to complete, payment gateways are usually faster with 3-5 working days.

Ratings and Reviews

In the top-right corner “Reviews/Feedback”, you can view the ratings people have given you and ratings you have given others under “Ratings to Award” and “My Ratings

Disputes and Arbitration

AstraEx can decide on whether the order should proceed or not depending on the information given. Depending on the information provided, a binding and final decision will be made by AstraEx. 

Arbitration is considered the last resort for dispute resolution. Criteria include and notwithstanding – payment disputes, supply chain and/or logistics issues leading to delays, fraudulent or negligent misrepresentation of material fact

The arbitration platform is used specifically for cases of fraudulent or negligent misrepresentation of material fact, this also means that investigations will be as prolonged as possible to screen for issues. The arbitration tool will not be used for a change in decision AFTER confirmation of or faulty products and services rendered. For faulty products and services, please raise a ticket at the bottom of the page under “Raise new ticket”. You can also view all your tickets under “My tickets”.
